Manila Clam (Halaan)

Olive oil (2-3 tbsp)

Garlic (3 cloves, chopped)

Onion (1 whole, diced)

Tomatoes (2 whole, diced)

Ginger (1 cup, sliced)

Fish Sauce (1 tbsp)

Manila Clam (about 24 pcs.)

Black Pepper (a pinch or two or up to you)


Heat the pan with olive oil

Saute onion, garlic

Add ginger and stir for a min

Add tomatoes, fish sauce, black pepper and stir

Place the manila clams in the pan and close it with a lid (fyi, clams cooks quite fast)

Once you see the manila clams are open (that’s an indication that they are done, then place it on a bowl)
